President Rupiah Banda says the MMD has set a seven point development agenda on which the people will hold him and the party accountable if he fails to deliver once voted into power.
Mr Banda says that he has decided to distribute the seven point development agenda so that Zambians can make the best judgment as they vote on 20th September 2011.
The agenda is dubbed ‘Seven ways we can all build tomorrow’s Zambia’
Mr Banda was speaking when he addressed a huge rally at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya.
Once re-voted into power, the MMD will increase agricultural production to sustain the current food security for all Zambians.
The MMD will also provide quality education to all the children throughout the country.
This will be achieved by countrywide construction of schools, an exercise already underway.
The MMD government will also provide quality health services closer to the peoples’ door steps.
Improved infrastructure like roads will be built in all parts of Zambia to easy movements of people and goods.
The road infrastructure drive will see communication eased countrywide.
The MMD government will also sustain and strengthen democratic governance.
President Banda has advised Zambians to challenge other leaders asking for their votes to say what they will do once voted into power.
