Renard jets in, looks forward to attaining glory with Zambia

October 27, 2011

Chipolopolo trainer Herve Renard has arrived in Lusaka this morning with a pledge to take the Zambia National Soccer Team a step higher and attain glory for the country.

“I am very happy to be back home. I love the country; I love the people and the professionalism of the federation. I know there is a lot to talk about but I’m sure we shall have a press conference when the media manager arranges and we will speak about everything,” Renard said adding: “Our results will show on the pitch and the only way to thank the people of Zambia is to give them glory and that we shall attain by working together and supporting each other. We have the players, we have a wonderful federation and the people of this country are great.”

Renard arrived aboard a British Airways flight and was met at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport by FAZ Spokesperson Erick Mwanza and Technical Director Honour Janza.

His long time physical trainer Patrice Beamulle wasn’t on the plane as he is still in France.

Renard was spotted at Football House on Thursday afternoon.

He is scheduled to be presented to the media and nation next week when FAZ President Kalusha Bwalya returns from Zurich where he is attending the FIFA Taskforce Meetings. Kalusha is co-vice chairman of the FIFA Taskforce with Brazilian legend Pele.
